About the Role
A growing platform engineering team is looking for a skilled Quality Engineer (QE) with strong experience in Performance Testing, API Testing, and Test Data Management. This role is central to ensuring high-quality, scalable, and reliable software systems across complex applications.

What You’ll Do

Performance & Load Testing

• Design and execute comprehensive performance and load-testing strategies

• Use tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner for benchmarking and scalability analysis

• Identify bottlenecks and partner with engineering teams to optimize system performance

API Quality & Automation

• Build and maintain automated API test suites using Postman, RestAssured, or SoapUI

• Validate API responses, schemas, error handling, and authentication flows

• Champion shift-left testing practices to improve early-stage test coverage

Test Data Management

• Create and implement strategies for reliable test data provisioning across complex applications

• Work with tools like Delphix, IBM Optim, or Informatica TDM

• Ensure compliance with data masking, privacy, and security requirements

Automation & CI/CD

• Develop and maintain automated tests using Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright

• Integrate and optimize test suites within CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps)

• Support efficient test execution in cloud and containerized environments

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Performance Testing, API Testing, or Test Data Management

• Proficiency in scripting or programming languages (Python, Java, or JavaScript)

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

• Strong analytical ability to diagnose performance issues and API failures

• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases

• Understanding of security testing and regulatory compliance best practices

• Background in large-scale or high-complexity systems is helpful
