About the Role

Engineering is evolving quickly in this environment. You’ll take ownership of problems end-to-end—writing high-quality code, working with data, contributing to product decisions, and iterating rapidly in production.

The team primarily works with a modern stack including Node.js (TypeScript) on AWS and React (Next.js) for frontend development.

What You’ll Do

• Own backend systems and infrastructure from design through deployment and scaling
• Build performant, reliable APIs and services that power core product functionality
• Design and implement scalable architectures using Node.js (TypeScript) on AWS
• Make pragmatic tradeoffs between speed, reliability, scalability, and maintainability
• Ship production code frequently while maintaining high quality standards
• Help define and implement engineering best practices and technical patterns
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and cross-functional stakeholders

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of professional backend engineering experience
• Experience working in early-stage or high-growth startup environments (typically <200 employees)
• Strong experience with Node.js and TypeScript
• Familiarity with AWS and building scalable cloud-based systems
• Proven ability to ship production code and iterate quickly
