Backend Engineer
Location: New York City (in-person)
Employment Type: Full-time
We’re a group of builders and entrepreneurs who thrive on ownership, speed, and craftsmanship. Working here isn’t your typical 9-to-5 — it’s about solving big problems with urgency and precision. Sometimes that means late-night deploys or tackling an issue head-on to keep things running smoothly.
We care deeply about the details, hold ourselves to a high standard, and push each other to deliver exceptional work. You’ll be joining an ambitious, high-caliber team working together in person in NYC.
Tech Stack: TypeScript / Next.js, AWS, Vercel
We’re building an automated back-office platform designed for startups — enabling teams to handle HR, payroll, and tax compliance in minutes. Using AI-driven automation, the platform handles state tax registrations, filings, and compliance monitoring across hundreds of jurisdictions so founders can focus on growing their companies, not managing HR operations.
As a Backend Engineer, you’ll play a key role in developing the systems that power our core infrastructure. You’ll be building reliable, scalable services that process large financial transactions and deliver a seamless experience to users.
You’ll work closely with the leadership team to help shape our technical direction as we rapidly scale.
